The Brossier Company

Brossier Company

The Brossier Company specializes in turnkey commercial, build to suit and apartment projects. The company has had great success in providing site selection, economic feasibility and pre‐civil engineering analysis, securing site and building permits to make projects a reality. The Brossier Company maximizes site density, creating additional value through the use of creative and innovative solutions regarding land planning, changes in zoning, and/or comprehensive land use plans and solving environmental issues that may restrict or even prohibit development. Whether it is developing for its own portfolio or for the client, these services are key ingredients that set the Brossier Company’s total turnkey development philosophy apart from its competitors. The Brossier Company holds licenses within the state of Florida as a Real Estate Broker, Mortgage Broker and General Contractor. Reese is the qualifying individual for all licenses.

Colonial Brossier, FounderThe company’s roots in Florida date back to 1893 when Robert’s great grandfather, Colonel Felix Brossier founded a real estate sales and development office in Miami. Later Colonel Brossier and his sons expanded their real estate company to include a full range of services in brokerage, development, construction and a real estate college, which was established in the early 1930’s. The family also co‐founded a small newspaper, the Orlando Reporter‐Star, which today is the Orlando Sentinel.

Currently The Brossier Company is developing the Maitland Town Center, which will be programmed properly as a pedestrian retail base–mixed‐use village with the development of a new public safety building and a new City Hall. The Brossier Company has secured the land for this development as is currently working with the city of Maitland and the public to make their dream of a new downtown a reality. In 2005, the company developed a mixed use, luxury student housing project at the entrance to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The project consists of 558 student bed apartments with retail on the first floor. Construction commenced in the fall of 2004 to be complete for the fall semester of 2006. The company also recently completed 264‐unit luxury condominium project, The Registry at Michigan Park. The project is located within the city limits of Orlando on Michigan Street at Dixie Belle Drive.

The Brossier Company’s achievements also include the development of a 280‐unit luxury apartment project, Grandeville at River Place, located on Alafaya Trail. As the developer and owner of this project, the Brossier Company was able to overcome three years of opposition to this development by the surrounding neighborhoods. Working closely with the neighbors, local government and environmental groups resulted in the unanimous approval of the project from a previous declination by the county commissioners. This project was completed and sold in 2005 to Equity Residential, a Chicago based REIT and is one the nations largest multi‐family REIT’s.

The Brossier Company has developed many retail facilities for it’s portfolio in the early and mid 90’s with such clients as Bealls Department Stores, Eckerd Drug Company and various free standing national restaurants, gas stations, tire stores, banks, and ambulatory surgery centers for Medical Care International and Columbia/HCA.
