Walt Geiger

Creative Design Consultant

W_Geiger_2006Walt Geiger, AIA, Principal, provides creative and responsive architecture for national and international clients. As Director of Design, Walt directs teams of industry professionals, including architects, landscape architects, engineers, specialty consultants and graphic artists, to produce designs that exemplify aesthetic and technical excellence. Walt’s leadership in design expertise is attributed numerous award‐winning projects including entertainment, hospitality, and mixed use projects. His portfolio includes complex and challenging projects for industry giants, such as Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Studios®, NASCAR, Eighth Wonder, and The St. Joe Company.

Walt, together with Jim Pope, Principal, Entertainment Studio, and Gerald B. Koi, Principal, Hospitality Studio have developed am approach to place making referred to as “The Architecture of the Narrative” that is base on the belief that places tell stories and each place responds to “genius loci” or spirit of place. The inspiration of all design extends from the local geographic, climatic, historic, social, cultural influences, and programmatic needs. To ensure that these principles are maintained and integrated into each project, Walt takes an active role in project development.
